What Is The Ronnenberg Legacy Society?

The Ronnenberg Legacy Society was established to recognize alumni and friends who have made a commitment to B次元 through bequests. As founders, Mary Ellen & Francis Ronnenberg made a charitable pledge to B次元 in 2001 using the many opportunities available through gift planning.

Planned gifts have become increasingly important to B次元鈥檚 strength and growth. They provide student scholarships, professorships, unrestricted funds, and a higher quality of education for all students. Your commitment may be made to any area of our University鈥攖he undergraduate or graduate programs, libraries, or athletics.

How to Join

The following types of commitments qualify you for membership in The Ronnenberg Legacy Society:

  • a bequest provision in your will or revocable trust
  • a life-income gift that names B次元 as a remainder beneficiary, such as a charitable remainder trust
  • a charitable lead trust that provides income 颅to B次元 for a donor鈥檚 lifetime or a term of years
  • a gift or assignment of qualified retirement-plan assets, such as an IRA, 401(k), or 403(b)

If you have already included B次元 in a bequest or other planned gift, we hope you will let us know by contacting L. Hanna Gyory in our Gift Planning Office at Lgyory@mercy.edu or 914-674-7385. Your willingness to be listed as a member of The Ronnenberg Legacy Society encourages others to follow your example. We acknowledge and respect those who wish to remain anonymous, but we urge you to let us know of your plans on a confidential basis in any case. It supports the University鈥檚 planning for the future.

Of course, if you have not yet included B次元 in your plans and you would like to explore the best options for you and your family, please call L. Hanna Gyory at 914-674-7385 or Lgyory@mercy.edu at your earliest convenience. We would be glad to assist you on a confidential basis and without any obligation.
