B´ÎÔª Student Awarded Scholarship from the Hearing Loss Association of America
Jolissa Louissant, a B´ÎÔª student entering her sophomore year, was one of 10 students who were each awarded scholarships by the Westchester chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) on Saturday, June 9at the Greenburgh Public Library in Elmsford, New York. The scholarship is in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the awards program for deserving high school seniors and adults with hearing loss.
The ten Blair and Anita Mazin College Scholarship winners were from Westchester County, Rockland County, Putnam County and New Jersey, and are students with hearing loss who are pursuing a college degree or vocation training. Louissant is enrolled in the pre-nursing program in the School of Health and Natural Sciences.
